🚨 HOUSTON FIREFIGHTER FACES CHILD GROOMING ALLEGATION 🚨
A veteran firefighter from Houston has been taken into custody after being indicted by a grand jury in Austin County, according to authorities.
Police in Bellville say 46-year-old Jason Gaines is accused of communicating with minors through social media platforms in a manner investigators considered inappropriate. During the investigation, additional young individuals reportedly came forward with claims that Gaines sent them sexually suggestive messages online.
Local reports indicate Gaines was arrested at Houston Fire Station 90 by deputies from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by members of the U.S. Marshals Service.
Following the arrest, officials confirmed that Gaines has been placed on suspension from both the Houston Fire Department and the Bellville Volunteer Fire Department while legal proceedings continue.
Court documents show that Gaines was later released from custody after posting a $30,000 bond.
The allegations remain under investigation, and, as with all criminal cases, Gaines is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
