While NBA fans know Josh Hart for his relentless energy on the court, the New York Knicks star has an even more important role away from basketball — being a father to his twin sons, Hendrix and Haze.
Hart and his wife, Shannon, welcomed the twins on May 12, 2023. The arrival of the boys came during a hectic period in Hart’s career, as the Knicks were competing in the playoffs. Although he couldn’t be physically present for the birth because of a game commitment, he watched the special moment through a live video connection before joining his family shortly afterward.
Since then, Hendrix and Haze have become familiar faces around Madison Square Garden. The twins attended their first Knicks game when they were only six months old and have regularly been seen supporting their father courtside. Their appearances have often captured the attention of fans and cameras alike.
One of their most memorable moments came when Hart unexpectedly had to return to a game while holding one of his sons on the bench. In a now-viral clip, he quickly handed his child to a teammate before sprinting back onto the court, creating a moment that had social media buzzing.
The twins have also started making a name for themselves outside of basketball. In 2025, they joined their father for a major fashion campaign and later made their runway debut during New York Fashion Week. When the bright lights and cheering crowd became overwhelming, Hart jumped onto the runway to help his boys finish their walk, creating another heartwarming family moment that quickly spread online.

Despite his demanding NBA schedule, Hart says spending time with his children remains a top priority. He has shared that he wakes up early every morning to make sure he sees the boys before practices, travel, or games take him away for the day.
As Hart continues helping lead the Knicks on the court, it’s clear that his greatest source of pride isn’t found in points, rebounds, or championships — it’s the two young boys who have already become fan favorites wherever they go. And judging by their growing popularity, Hendrix and Haze may be creating their own spotlight much sooner than anyone expected…
